4th of July fun

Happy 4th of July! Well...it's a little late...but I didn't have time to write yesterday. I had to work from 12-8...but after that I went with my friend Jenna to watch the fireworks in the mall parking lot. It was a lot of fun. The fireworks were pretty...there was a bunch of people setting off those smoke bomb things...so that was fun. Some people next to us kept putting those snapper things out in the middle of the parking lot so whenever a car drove on top of them they would snap really loud. Yeah...the "cool" thing about Iowa is that fireworks are illegal to buy...so it's fun to watch the police chasing people who shoot them off. Most people go down to Missouri and buy them then bring them back.

Anyway...after the fireworks show we had to stop buy my grandma's house to get some fans...because our air-conditioning broke. Jenna and I were leaving the house and I happened to look down and saw the BIGGEST bug I've ever seen! It was huge...it looked like it could rip my nose off with its big pinchers. So...of course I SCREAMED! Then...Jenna and I had fun trying to take a picture of it without getting too close.

It was a pretty exciting night. After the bug excitement we went back to my house and watched a movie. Have any of you seen "Facing the Giants"? That was the best movie I've ever seen. It's about a school football team that has revival. It was wonderful...I wish they'd make more movies like that.

Anyway...I haven't gotten to the doctor yet about my kidney stones. I was suppose to have gone this week but the doctor had to reschedule because he had a meeting to go to. So...I'm going on the 12th. Hopefully nothing too serious happens before then. I don't have any pain right now so it's ok.
